AANC Auxillary News

Hello everyone! Now that the hustle & bustle of the holidays are over & we have made it through winter convention
its time to get to work. The Auxiliary met at Winter Convention in January & did we have a great time.
It was decided at the membership meeting that we would wait to auction off the quilt until the Friday night @January
2019 convention. Members were reminded Scholarship applications are due on May 31, 2018. Membership was made
aware that a copy of the Scholarship Application will be on the Auxiliary tab of the AANC website to show that applications
will go to the auxiliary 1st Vice President, currently Denise Stancil. Applications are also available from incoming
Auxiliary President, Lisa York and Denise Cline, Secretary. Hall of Fame nominations must be turned into
Diedre Rogers by October 31, 2018.

Our new charitable contribution came down to 2 organizations which were suggested to the Board for 2018. “I Can
Bike”, a non-profit organization that concentrates on teaching motor skills to autistic children and other children with
disabilities & the Boy Scouts organization that for over 100 years has trained youth in character development and being
responsible citizens through a wide range of activities. A vote was taken and due to the close vote (6 for “I Can
Bike” and 5 for Boy Scouts) the 2018 donation will be made to “I Can Bike” and the next year donation will go to the
Boy Scouts.

There will be no meeting at the summer convention for our Auxiliary. If you know of anyone that would like to be an
auxiliary member the dues are $5.00/year & we would love to have them join us. Wishing you all the best auction year
yet & happy selling! Have a great first quarter!!
